Holiday Potluck

Montclaire Neighborhood Association invites you to join us for a holiday potluck on Friday, December 1, 5:30-7:30pm in the gym at St Giles.  We encourage you to wear festive attire - as we expect a visit from Santa 6:30-7:00pm! MNA will be collecting donations (via Venmo) for the Montclaire Elementary Angel Tree.   A kids craft table will be set up as well! What to bring?MNA will provide ham, rolls and beverages.  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

General Meeting & More

Hope your summer was great, and you’re ready for fall, filled with great neighborhood events.  First up, is our General Meeting on September 25 at St. Giles Church, starting with pizza at 6:15pm, and the presentation at 6:30pm.  The UDO (Unified Development Ordinance) Task Force will share an update, along with our community officer, Officer Phan. Child care will be provided. The next event to add to your calendar is our monthly ladies night, held on the first Thursday of each month, October 5 at The Auto Pour. Book club will meet October 8, 4pm at Sumaq Coffee to discuss “Sold on a Monday: A Novel”. Lastly, mark your calendar for HalloWensley - back again - on October 31 from 5:30-7:30pm.  There will be food trucks AND beverages this year.…

Stream Cleanup

MNA is organizing a stream cleanup event and we are looking for volunteers to help us make apositive impact on our neighborhood and local environment. The event will take place on Saturday, April 8 from 9:00am to 1:00pm and will be picking up litter and debris along the stream banks within Montclaire. This is a great opportunity to get some fresh air, meet new neighbors and make a difference in your community. If you’re interested in volunteering, please send an email to montclaire@montclaire28210.com with your name, contact information and any questions you may have. We’ll provide all the necessary equipment and supplies, but please dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.

Easter Egg Hunt

April 1, 3:30-5:30pm at St Giles Church The Easter Bunny will be visiting Montclaire on Saturday, April 1 at St Giles Church and leaving eggs in different areas, so children of all ages are able to find eggs. In order for the Easter Bunny to know how many eggs to leave, RSVPs are required to participate.  Children will be limited to 10 eggs.Snacks and bouncy houses will also be provided. Plan to stay and play 3:30-5:30! If you are able, please consider signing up to volunteer for a short shift. Hunt will officially begin at 4:00pm, with the youngest group beginning first.RSVP by Thursday March 30. RSVP here! General Meeting

Have you seen the lot on the corner of Burnley and Farmbrook? A single family house was torn down to make way for a subdivided lot with a duplex. A new city ordinance effective June 1, will allow developers to add duplexes and triplexes to neighborhood lots without a permit for permission first. Come hear about the pending change and what Montclaire can do to preserve the charm of our mid-century, single family home neighborhood.  Also, Montclaire's CMPD Community Coordinator Officer Tam Phan will attend to provide an update on safety.  Hear about our most recent social gatherings - book club and ladies night.  Toppers will be providing pizza.
