Do I need a Facebook account to view event details and pictures?

No; however, we would greatly appreciate you as a fan and that requires you to first have a Facebook account. You do need an account to participate on the discussion board though. Facebook has made it very easy for you to customize your privacy level.

No. You have total control over with whom you become friends.

Why am I charged an extra $1 if I pay my membership due online? Isn’t this easier for the association?

Every time you use a credit card to make a purchase, the vendor has to pay a processing fee to receive funds. Since the association is a non-profit organization, we are trying to limit cost and overhead. We hope that the extra $1 is not an inconvenience.
